You stand now at the crossroads Before countless winding ways With one more step your course be set Cast a die in the game fate plays Will you travel to the West Into depravity and sin? Or will you travel to the East Drifting farther from your kin? Will you go now to the North Where all is lost in ice? Or will you wander to the South Where all that awaits is strife? All paths laid out before you Lead to suffering and to death None seem wise to pursue Is this choice but wasted breath? These paths all end in darkness And none now promise light But here your fate, you must now make For only you can set things right For who is there to tell you Which is the wisest way? And if you refuse to move now At these crossroads you will stay For the Hound of Time draws nearer With howls that shake the ground And in his wake comes silent Death Who’s secret none have found So choose your road and trust In what is good and what is true For who yet knows what fate awaits When you make your choice and see it through
Thank you for your time and attention, it truly is appreciated.
This reminds me of the Frost poem but with much more dire possibilities whichever road you choose. It's very well written and I enjoyed it. Thank you.
